The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, CP Naziru Kankarofi, has ordered a robust security deployment across the state ahead of the Easter celebrations to ensure a peaceful festive period.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Saliu Afusat, personnel and logistics have been positioned at worship centres, major highways, motor parks, and recreational areas.

Officers have been directed to intensify patrols, intelligence gathering, and coordinated operations, including stop-and-search duties, in collaboration with other security agencies.

The Command also emphasised traffic management and urged residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and contact the emergency control room if needed.
CP Kankarofi wished Christian faithful a safe and joyous Easter while reaffirming the police’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the state.
