Governor of Kebbi state, Nasir Idris, has earnestly appealed to organisers of the ongoing protest in the state to call of the demonstrations.
Governor Nasir made the plea Thursday evening while addressing the people of the state regarding the situation in the nation.
According to the Governor, although it is the right of the citizens to peacefully protest, the extent to which one will be used to cause breach of peace in the state will not be tolerated.
He claimed that available credible information revealed wicked plots by some unpatriotic and unscrupulous individuals to import’ mercenaries’ from outside the state to sow havoc in Kebbi State.

The governor announced that his administration will not allow individuals who do not have the public interest at heart to vandalise both public utilities and private properties.
The Kauran Gwandu urged to the demonstrators to see reason and the harmful multiplying effect of such protests under the influence of some bad elements who wish to destabilize the state’s peace and security.
