Super Eagles and Fulham Football Club forward, Samuel Chukwueze, has lost his mother, Mrs Sarah Chukwueze.

The development was confirmed in a series of emotional posts on Instagram on Thursday by his brother, David Chukwueze.

Although the Fulham forward had yet to issue a statement to confirm the demise, David Chukwueze paid tribute to their late mother in the post, expressing that the family is struggling to come to terms with the loss.

David wrote, “Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum. My forever love just left me without saying goodbye.”

“You didn’t even carry your grandchild,” he also noted.

Nigerian football journalist identified as Poojamedia also confirmed the development in a statement on X, saying, “Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has lost his mother. He has been in a strong mental state playing for Super Eagles & Fulham while his Mum was very sick.

“Reason when we see players trying to have fun, just leave them cos they might be going through a lot. My condolences.”

Details surrounding her death was not disclosed as of press time.

The development comes just two days after Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi lost his father, Sunday Ndidi, in a road accident in Delta State.
