Opposition parties in Jigawa State have kicked against the postponement of the local government elections by the state Independent Electoral Commission.
The electoral umpire had announced a 360-day postponement thereby causing outrage from the opposition parties.

Opposition parties and civil society organisations condemned the postponement and call for its reversal.
