Image result for Imo Assembly complex collapse fearsThe Imo State House of Assembly complex is a disaster waiting to happen, following multiple cracks in many points on the walls of the building.

As a result of this, members of the  State House of Assembly and their staff have completely moved out of their permanent structure to the Trade and Investment Centre where they now hold plenary sessions.

All the offices belonging to the Lawmakers and Staff are under lock and key, making it impossible for  people who  come for one business or the other  to be stranded and confused.

The situation stirred some interest and in the process TVC News gathered that the relocation was as a result of cracks in different points in the complex and, threatening the very foundation of the building.

The Lawmakers  not only confirmed the crack in the walls of their permanent complex but stressed
that they were uncomfortable under the new arrangement but the relocation has not breached the laws of the land according to legal experts.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Acho Ihie told Journalists that the Assembly complex is undergoing some repairs, hoping that it will be ready for use in less than a month.

The Imo State House of Assembly Complex was renovated in 2014 as a result of multiple cracks all over its walls.

Two years down the line, the same problem has reared its ugly head again. The people of the state are now calling for a  brand new complex for the Lawmakers to avoid casualties.

They also want an  investigation into the process of award of the last contract,to determine the company which handled it.
