Matawalle lifts ban on political campaigns in two LGAs

The Igbo Community in Zamfara has pledged to continue supporting Government in ensuring peace and harmony prevails in the state

They say the Government should be commended for creating an enabling environment for different ethnic groups, irrespective of Religious differences, to live in peace with one another

The Igbo leaders gave the assurance when executive members of the Igbo Community Association paid a courtesy visit to the Zamfara State Committee on the Prosecution of Banditry and related Offences

They appreciate the state government for addressing Insecurity and the manner it embraced all non-natives of the state

The Eze Ndigbo says there are Igbos who have lived in different parts of the state for over five decades

The Igbo leaders pledged their resolve to continue to live in peace and harmony with others, while calling on Governor Bello Matawalle to consider appointing a non- Indigene into Political office

This according to them will make them feel more comfortable and secure.

Responding, the Chairman Committee for the Prosecution of Banditry and related Offences assures the Igbo leaders that Government is working round the clock to end Insecurity

On the 2023 General election, they are encouraged to mobilize their people to go out and vote Candidates of their choice

The community is also enjoined to continue preaching peace and unity among their members.

The authorities acknowledge that Igbos have contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria’s economy
