Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has expressed admiration for Muslims observing Ramadan, saying she would struggle to fast because of her difficulty going without food.

Speaking during an Instagram Live session, the award-winning artiste said: “To my Muslims out there doing Ramadan fasting, God knew not to make me a Muslim. If I wake up and go three hours without eating, my head starts to hurt, and I’ll start hearing voices.”

Cardi B added humorously that she becomes irritable and experiences physical discomfort if she goes more than three hours without eating after waking up.

“When I wake up, I have like a three-hour limit. If I don’t eat in three hours after I wake up, I start to hear things. I start cursing people out. I don’t have the strength to be a Muslim,” she said.

Despite her comments about her personal limitations, the rapper praised Muslims for their devotion and discipline during the holy month.

“They love their God so much. I love when people are loyal to their creator,” she added.

Ramadan is a sacred month in Islam during which Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, engaging in prayer, reflection and acts of charity.
