I Will Champion Tinubu’s Campaign For Re-Election In 2027 – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has promised to champion the Campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

The Minister made this promise in a media chat with Journalists in Abuja.

Mr Wike a former governor of Rivers State said the President has made bold and unprecedented moves to return Nigeria to path of greatness and sustainable development and must be supported to drive the process to a logical conclusion.

Mr Wike also digressed to speak on the development in his State where the Governor, the House of Assembly and Other stakeholders including him have been in a battle of wits on the direction of governance in the State.

He said the recent judgment by the Supreme Court is a good development for the sanity and polity of the State.

He also added that an elected official anywhere can be removed by the legislature if He or She commits an impeachable offence.

He admitted to making several mistakes while governor of the State adding that he is better for it in terms of experience and as an individual and leader.

On the fate of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Wike said the current set of governors elected on the platform of the party want it to die.

According to him, the party wil, continue to move from one trouble to another until the situation changes.

He said his belief for backing the President is also based on the Principle of rotation with the South to have its short for another four years from 2027.

He disclosed that it is not a sentimental decision.
