Media personality, Blessing CEO, has recanted recent claims regarding her health, stating she does not have stage 4 breast cancer.

In an interview with Egungun, she explained that the confusion arose from miscommunication and that she is still undergoing tests to determine the exact stage of her cancer.

She also confirmed that she has not begun chemotherapy.

“I don’t have stage 4 cancer. That was a miscommunication,” she said.

“I just received my biopsy results. Initially, the lump was thought to be non-cancerous, but later tests revealed it was cancerous. I haven’t started chemotherapy yet, and I’m still awaiting further tests to determine the exact stage,” she added.

Blessing CEO also addressed rumours about her fundraising campaign, clarifying that the total amount raised was N13 million, not “hundreds of millions” as widely speculated.

“The money raised is not hundreds of millions as some people think. It’s just 13 million naira,” she noted.

She further stated that she would not be posting her medical results online, emphasising personal privacy and her commitment to following medical advice.

“I will not post my results online because it’s personal, and I don’t owe anyone an apology. I’m just trying to communicate what the doctors have told me,” she said.

Blessing CEO concluded by stressing her focus on exploring treatment options responsibly.

“I just want to be sure about what I am doing. I’m not a doctor; I’m only sharing the updates I receive from them,” she said.

Okoro’s recent comments followed growing scrutiny over her medical claims, with allegations of document manipulation and a demand for the refund of a N20 million donation.

Her initial disclosure had drawn widespread sympathy from supporters and public figures, but doubts soon surfaced due to the absence of verifiable medical evidence.

A woman identified as Deborah Mbara has accused Okoro of falsifying medical documents to mislead the public, further fuelling scepticism surrounding her diagnosis.

In a related development, businessman Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo, popularly known as Oil Money, claimed he donated N20 million and has issued a legal demand seeking a refund within seven days.

He warned that failure to comply could lead to further legal action, including reporting the matter to law enforcement authorities.

The situation has added to mounting questions about the authenticity of Okoro’s claims, as public reactions continue to intensify.

This is not the first time she has faced controversy. In 2019, Okoro was involved in a widely reported incident in which she falsely claimed ownership of a luxury property, a development that led to her arrest and subsequent public apology.
