A member of the House of Representatives from Kano State, Garba Durbunde has been kidnapped. Durbunde who represents Sumaila/Takai federal Constituency of Kano state, was kidnapped on Tuesday along Kaduna-Jere road on his way from Abuja.
A member who pleaded anonymity confirmed the kidnap but said Speaker Yakubu Dogara has kicked against members bringing up the issue, so as not to increase the stakes.

The legislator also confirmed that the abductors are in contact with the family.
