Rifkatu Ishaku the stepmother of senator Ishaku Abbo has been abducted by unknown gunmen in their family house at Muchalla ward in Mubi North Local Government of Adamawa State around 1:00pm Saturday.
The Spokesman of the state Police command Sulaiman Nguroje confirmed the incident stressing that police have been deployed to the area and are currently on the trail of the assailants.

He explained that the IG rapid response team in conjunction with men from anti-kidnapping unit as well as men from the homicide unit have been deployed in order to rescue the victim and arrest the suspects.
The locals said the gunmen arrived the area shooting indiscriminately and went straight to senator Ishaku Abbo’s family house and abducted the senator’s stepmother who just gave birth to a baby about 11 days ago.
