Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to Dadin Kowa in Maiyama Local Government Area following a tragic attack by suspected Lakurawa terrorists who opened fire on worshippers inside a mosque, killing Six people.
During the visit, the governor expressed deep sorrow over the incident, condemned the incident describing it as barbaric and heartbreaking, noting that the loss was not only to the immediate families of the victims but to the entire state.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, community leaders and residents, assuring them that the government stands firmly with them in this moment of grief.
Governor Idris directed security agencies to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security measures across Kebbi State to prevent further occurrences.
The governor also urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security operatives by providing timely and useful information that could aid ongoing investigations.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and asked Almighty Allah to grant their families the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
