President of Ghana, John Mahama, Nigerian business magnate Aliko Dangote, and several prominent traditional rulers gathered in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Monday for Mahama’s installation as the Aare Atayeto Oodua.
The ceremony drew notable dignitaries, including the Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero; the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Clement Haastrup; the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Oloyede Esuwoye; and other royal figures and industry leaders.
Former President of Botswana, Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, was also among the distinguished guests, alongside monarchs from Ghana and invited attendees from various sectors.

The installation took place at the palace square in Ile-Ife, marked by elaborate fanfare and reinforced security due to the high-profile nature of the guests. Mahama made a grand entrance around 1:30 pm in a royal chariot.
At the event, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, praised Mahama as a reformer, highlighting his leadership qualities and significant contributions to governance across Africa.
