Members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities SSANU and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU at the Federal University of Technology, Akure have protested over non-payment four month salary arrears.
The protest took place at the entrance of the university where members of the two unions asked the government to urgently look into their demands.
Armed with placards with various inscriptions, the union members chanted solidarity songs.

The called on stakeholders to urgently intervene before the issue degenerates into industrial disharmony
The aggrieved university workers asked for the immediate payment of the 4-month withheld salary of their members and non-discrimination between academic and non-teaching staff of universities among others.
