Flooding: ZEMA visits affected communities, commiserate with victims

Over two thousands households were affected by last Tuesday flood in four Communities in Talata Mafara local government area of Zamfara state.

Properties including livestock worth millions of naira were also destroyed

The affected communities are Ruwan Gora, Morai, Makera and Talata Mafara Town

Officials of the Zamfara State Emergency Management Agency, ZEMA Confirmed theZEMA Visits Affected Communities, Commiserate With Victims incident to TVC NEWS.

Executive Secretary of the agency, Ahmed Bala Gusau described the incident as unfortunate and sympathise with the victims

He stated this during an assessment visit to the affected communities

The ZEMA boss was represented by Hassan Usma Dauran, the Director Disaster Management and Control of the agency

Dauran assures the victims of the commitment of the state government to do the needful.

On the entourage was also the Sole Administrator, Talata Mafara local government, Usman Jafar

Mr. Jafar sympathies with the affected families and appeal to them to desist from dumping refuse in the water ways and also to stop building on water ways

Communities in Zamfara state have been suffering from flooding for the past few years. Houses, animals and other valuables were affected every year.
