The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has announced plans to commence the electronic billing of KCG customers starting March 1, in addition to the traditional paper bills.

This development was disclosed in a circular posted on the official X handle of EKEDC on Sunday.

According to the statement, the parallel billing will continue until June 1, 2o26 to ease the smooth transition to full e-billing.

The statement reads, “Effective March 1, 2026, all KCG customers will begin receiving electronic bills (e-bills) in addition to traditional paper bills. This parallel issuance will continue until June 1, 2026, after which the production and distribution of paper bills will be fully discontinued.”

EKEDC urges customers to visit the district office responsible for their area to update their phone numbers and email addresses, or contact their designated EFR to ensure the continued and seamless delivery of bills.

EKEDC further explains that payment can be made through approved channels for a seamless experience, noting that customers who choose to pay through the Direct Lodgement platform (Zenith Bank Plc) should state their Service Point Number in the payment narrative to enable prompt updating of payments.

TVC News previously reported that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that all cash transactions will end nationwide on February 28, in line with the Federal Government’s cashless policy.

In an internal memo signed by Managing Director Mrs Olubunmi Kuku and obtained by TVC News, the agency directed that all cash collections for official FAAN business must cease in February, with a full digital transition set for March 1.

Kuku stated that the directive complies with a directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria mandating the adoption of digital payments across airports nationwide from March.
