Eid- El-Kabir: Gov. Namadi urges citizens to return to farming amid economic hardship

Governor of Jigawa state, Umar Namadi has called on citizens to return to their farms, promising government support to alleviate the current economic challenges.

In his Sallah message, Governor Namadi acknowledged the economic hardship facing the country, assuring that both federal and state governments are working together to find lasting solutions.

Hundreds of Muslims from within and outside the city of Dutse gathered to perform the two Rak’ah Eid al-Adha congregational prayers, with the Emir of Dutse and Governor Umar Namadi in attendance.

Led by the Deputy Chief Imam of Dutse Central Mosque, Sheikh Musa Bala, the central message emphasised the importance of peace, harmony, and environmental cleanliness.

Sheikh Bala urged Muslim faithful to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim, and emulate his unwavering faith, obedience, and dedication to serving the greater good during the Eid al-Adha celebration.

Governor Umar Namadi and the Emir of Dutse, Hameem Nuhu, congratulated Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration.

In their Sallah messages, Governor Namadi reiterated the importance of citizens returning to farming, pledging the state government’s support for the sector.

He emphasised the need for sustainable food production and economic growth.

The Emir of Dutse, Hameem Nuhu, also urged Muslims to embrace the values of peace, love, and generosity, as exemplified by the Prophet Ibrahim.

As part of the traditional ceremony, Governor Umar Namadi paid homage to the Emir of Dutse, Hameem Nuhu.

The occasion was marked with a Durbar ceremony, which was witnessed by a diverse audience of spectators from all walks of life.

The colorful event depicts the rich cultural heritage of the region.
