The Zamfara State Police Command has announced the large-scale deployment of security personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration.

In a statement issued on April 3, 2026, by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, the Command said operatives have been strategically positioned at churches, event centres, highways and other public places, while patrol and tactical teams have been mobilised to strengthen surveillance and enable rapid response to incidents.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Muhammad Bello, directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders to intensify visibility policing and sustain intelligence-driven operations throughout the festive period.

Residents were urged to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police formation.

Parents and guardians were also advised to closely monitor their children during the celebrations.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while extending goodwill to Christian faithful, wishing them a peaceful and safe Easter celebration.
