The Lagos National Stadium in Surulere used to be the sanctuary of Nigerian football until 2004 when it was abandoned.
The stadium has been in terrible shape with continuous deterioration ever since then and the Super Eagles not having a fixed home ground for its matches.
But all that could change from now as the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung and the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, are to embark on a tour of the Stadium today.
Governor Ambode has suggested the idea of Lagos State helping with work to bring the stadium back to life.
Both men will look at the facility built in 1972 and make a statement on the working arrangement for its restoration.
