Cardi B has etched her place in music history by becoming the first female rapper to debut her first two studio albums at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Her latest release, Am I The Drama?, soared to the top of the chart with 200,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, Billboard confirmed on Sunday. The achievement mirrors the success of her 2018 debut album, Invasion of Privacy, which also launched at No. 1.
In an official Instagram post, Billboard announced:
“Cardi B scores her second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as ‘Am I The Drama?’ debuts atop the tally… With 200,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S., it marks 2025’s biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman.”
The strong debut was driven by heavy streaming numbers and robust physical sales, with multiple CD and vinyl editions contributing to the impressive figures. The album now holds the biggest first-week sales of 2025 for a female hip-hop or R&B artist.

Following the album’s release, Cardi B is set to hit the road in February 2026 with a nationwide arena tour in support of Am I The Drama?, further building on the project’s momentum.
In an unexpected twist, Cardi B also shattered a Guinness World Record tied to her album’s launch, becoming the first artist to distribute signed albums via drone delivery.
On September 19, 2025, in partnership with Walmart, Atlantic Records, and Wing Drone Delivery, she orchestrated the drone drop-off of 176 signed copies of Am I The Drama? across various locations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area in just one hour.
Guinness World Records officially recognized the achievement: “Most deliveries by UAV drones in one hour: 176, by @iamcardib, @AtlanticRecords, @Wing & @Walmart across the Dallas–Fort Worth region, Texas, USA.”
Describing the drone launch as a groundbreaking moment in fan engagement, Cardi B called it “a special moment for my fans and a crazy new way to drop music.”
This marks the first time an artist has linked a world record to an album release using UAV (drone) technology, further establishing Cardi B as not just a music trailblazer, but also an innovator in digital-age promotion.
