Four people have been confirmed dead following an attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Wagga Mongoro community in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Residents say the assailants invaded the community in the early hours of Wednesday, September 24, 2025, destroying property and forcing villagers to flee.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers arrived in large numbers and carried out the assault before security reinforcements could arrive.
The military and other security agencies are yet to officially confirm the incident at the time of filing this report.
Madagali, which shares a border with Borno State, has suffered repeated attacks in the past due to its location in Nigeria’s North-East insurgency.
