The Adamawa State Police Command Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris has visited the affected communities in Madagali Local Government Area following deadly attacks by Boko Haram terrorists.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said that immediately after the attack, CP Morris, visited the affected communities and assured residents of their safety.
The Adamawa State Police Command says it has deployed personnel to Shuari and Kirchinga communities in Madagali Local Government Area to ensure heightened security protocol.
According to the statement, the Commissioner ordered the immediate deployment of an anti-terrorism squad to strengthen security and prevent further attacks.
The recent attack claimed the life of a village head and 17 others, while valuable properties were destroyed.
TVC News previously reported that suspected Boko Haram insurgents have attacked communities in Madagali and Hong Local Government Areas of Adamawa State, leaving casualties and widespread destruction of property.

The attackers were said to have stormed the affected communities late Monday night, causing panic among residents as gunshots forced many to flee their homes.
Preliminary reports indicate that several lives were lost, while houses and other valuables were destroyed during the assault. Security agencies have yet to release an official casualty figure as assessments continue.
Reacting to the development, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as cowardly acts of terrorism aimed at disrupting the peace gradually being restored in the state.
