The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and Frontline Presidential Aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has received his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to enable him participate in the Presidential Primaries of the Party.
Asiwaju Tinubu who just returned to the Country after performing the lesser Hajj (Umrah) in Mecca received the forms from Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu.
His support groups led by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babchir Lawal, and Senator Dayo Adeyeye purchased the forms for him on Friday afternoon.
The Party’s Presidential Primaries will hold between the 30th of May and 1st of June.
The Party’s Presidential contest has become increassingly crowded in recent days with the declaration of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governors Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Senators Ibikunle Amosun and Chris Ngige, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Education, Chkwuemeka Nwajiuba and Others.
The Party has also announced that it has not taken a decision on the Zoning of the Presidential ticket to any of the Nation’s 6 geopolitical Zones though the expectation was that it will be zoned to the South Owing to President Muhammadu Buhari who is a Northerner in his second term.
The announcement was made by the Party’s Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, while speaking to State House Correspondents in Abuja on Friday after presenting the Party’s Gubernatorial Candidate for the Ekiti State Governorship Election, Biodun Oyebamiji, to President Muhammadu Buhari in company of Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi and his Kebbi State Counterpart, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
