The Commander 401 Special Forces (SF) Brigade, Brigadier General Samaila Uba has extended the Brigade’s Civil Military Cooperation activities to Schools in Katsina-Ala and Logo local governments in Benue state.

School facilities and educational supportive items were presented to NKST Primary and Gaambe-Tiev Community Secondary schools.

Exercise Enduring Peace II was launched on 11 October 2022

It is aimed at providing safety during the Yuletide season and also at strengthening Civil Military Cooperation between the Nigerian Army and inhabitants of Benue State.

Brigadier General Uba donates 30 desks with chairs and 500 copies of Exercise Enduring Peace ll branded note books to each of the schools.

Speaking during the presentation Brigadier General Uba said, the exercise is part of the concerted efforts of the Chief of Army Staff in ensuring citizens enjoy the Yuletide season without fear of crimes and criminalities which are associated with the period.

The chairman Katsina-Ala local government area, and his counterpart in Logo LGA, express gratitude for the donations which will alleviate the plight of the pupils.

The Head Teacher NKST UBE Katsina-Ala hopes that the kind gesture shown to her school will be extended to other schools.

The Chief of Army Staff has directed all Nigerian Army formations taking part in the ongoing exercise across the country to carry out Civil Military Cooperation activities in order to strengthen the existing cordial relationships with their host communities.

The Insecurity in Benue has placed the Army 401 Special Forces Brigade firmly in the Cross hairs of both Criminals under various guises like Criminal Herdsmen, Bandits and Terrorists and also the State Government who have complained bitterly about the failure of the Brigade to treat Security breaches with all seriousness.

The State had always accused the Army of not doing enough while the criminals see the Army as an impediment to the achievement of their criminal aims and objectives.
