About 2,000 women and children have regained their freedom from the so-called boko haram captivity.
In a press conference on Wednesday, the Nigerian army said it carried out the rescue operation at the Sambisa Forest and arrested 504 members of the terror group while 19 of them willingly surrendered.

Major General Lucky Irabor assured said the soldiers have successfully mopped up all the areas in Sambisa Forest.
