The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Cornelius Ojelabi, has been re-elected for a second term in office.
Ojelabi, a pastor and former Commissioner for Rural Development in Lagos State, was returned at the party’s state congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
It was gathered that party leaders reached a consensus for Ojelabi to continue as chairman of the state chapter.
Notable APC stalwarts in attendance included Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat; former governor Akinwunmi Ambode; and members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), among others.
The Special Assistant on Media to the governor, Wale Ajetunmobi, confirmed the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Lagos APC returns Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi as chairman for another term during the State party congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, today.”
