The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission and Lagos State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has called for prayers to end unrest in Nigeria and other countries such as Ukraine, Russia and the Middle East.
The cleric, who is also the Bishop of the Diocese of Ikeja, Methodist Church Nigeria, stated this while speaking during the tenth Annual Synod of the Diocese, with the theme, “I will fight for you”, which ended on Sunday.
The three-day programme was held at the Methodist Cathedral of Peace and Excellence, Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.
He noted that the initiatives taken by the president, Bola Tinubu, across major sectors must be sustained and supported, while calling for an end to unemployment, inadequate power supply, insecurity and other inimical activities in the country.
