A consensus arrangement adopted by stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State on Tuesday saw the emergence of Hon. Kolawole Babatunde as the new State Chairman of the ruling party.

Babatunde, a former member of the House of Representatives who represented Akoko South West/South East Federal Constituency, was returned unopposed alongside other members of the state executive during the party’s congress held at the International Centre and Event Centre, The DOME, in Akure.

The process, party sources disclosed, followed unanimous agreement by stakeholders to adopt a ‘consensus mode’ of election, with the new executives subsequently affirmed through ‘voice votes’ by delegates at the venue.
