Convicted Former Governor of Adamawa state, James Ngillari says he will appeal the High court judgement sending him to jail.Ngilari was sentenced to 5 years in prison without option of fine, after being found guilty of corrupt practices.
His counsel, Samuel Toni had pleaded for leniency, in view of Ngilari’s invaluable contribution to the fight against insurgency when he served as Governor of Adamawa state.
The Yola High Court found the ex-governor guilty of all 5-counts of conspiracy to award contracts amounting to, 500,000 dollars without compliance with due process.
