According to the Managing Director, Kano Zoo, Usman Gwadabe, experts have sedated the escaped lion from Kano zoo, but are yet to capture and return it to cage.
He said the team would do everything possible to capture the escaped animal alive.
“We don’t want to kill the lion unless it becomes the last option as they can shoot it to make it unconscious.”
Up until this morning, the ever-busy zoo with shops, filling stations, including the popular Ado Bayero Shopping Mall were padlocked with nobody around the place.
