The federal government has been urged to invest in the creative arts industry as one of the ways to reduce unemployment, boost local economy and solidify the sector in the country.
The National President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan made this known in Abeokuta during the opening session of a three-day workshop organised for the association’s Guild of Directors and Directors of Photography.
He noted the professional has not been receiving desired supports from the government despite its contributions to the local economy.
He hinted that they are working on how to sharpen their skills and get acquainted with the latest tools used in movie production but begged
government support them financially.
