Katsina: Tribunal affirms Gov Aminu Masari’s victory at polls

Residents of katsina state are celebrating the victory of Governor Aminu Bello Masari at the election tribunal judgement.

The ruling,which was passed in Abuja this afternoon, dismissed the petitions filed by the PDP gubernatorial candidate Yakubu Lado challenging the election of the incumbent Governor.

It is a time to rejoice for many who had waited anxiously for the tribunals verdict

When news filtered from Abuja that the election tribunal had upheld Aminu Bello Masaris victory as the Governor of katsina state, there was an uproar of joy

The Katsina Gubernatorial election was keenly contested with the People’s Democratic Party ruled the stq

Similarly, Katsina as the primary constituency of the president of Nigeria Mohammadu Buhari attracts the attention of the nation on the judgement of the tribunal.

The secretary to katsina state Government Mustafa Mohammed Inuwa described the victory as a morale booster toward consolidation of the achievements already being recorded in the state.

In a press release issued by Governor Aminu Bello Masari through his media aid described the verdict to dismiss the petition filed by the PDP Gubernatorial candidate,Yakubu Lado as a vindication of the electorate’s overwhelming mandate.

He explained that he had always believed that the tribunal would rule in his favour, because all the issues raised in the petition were absolutely baseless.

While thanking the good people of Katsina State for giving him their mandate and keeping faith with his government, he assured them that his second term would avail them even more dividends of democracy.
