The Ondo state Police command has reacted to different issues portraying the command in bad light, in the last few days.
From the issue of one of its men who was accused of stabbing at night to that of invasion of a church in search of fetish objects, the command exonerated its men of any wrong doing.

It is also looking into the issue of insecurity at Hostels off campus, of the Adekunle Ajasin university.

The Ondo State Police command has been in the news in the past five days for good and bad reasons.

The stories bother on not to good news that have negative impact on the image of the command.

First, the social media was flooded with the story of one of its men who was said to have stabbed eight persons at a night club.

But the command described the story as an exaggeration of what transpired.

The command was also said to have raided a popular church in Akure, in search of fetish objects.

Again the command responded to the allegation this way.

The need to guarantee safety of students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, who live off campus, is also generating reactions.

Leadership of the students’ Union of the institution said the police are not doing enough to tackle incessant robbery attacks on students.

Again, the command’s image maker said the issue was blown out of proportion.

Many residents believe that the police in the State need to brace-up and address different issues raised by the people, most especially, the need to provide adequate security for Adekunle Ajasin university students.
