The Nigeria Midstream and downstream petroleum regulatory authority, NMDPRA has apologised to residents in the FCT for the reappearing queues.
This Authority said this is due to floods which covered the Lokoja bridge, making it difficult to transport petrol products from down south to up north.
The recent floods in some states in the country have had attendant effects on other states.
Kogi State had many of its parts submerged by flood water, including the popular Lokoja bridge.

The bridge which serves as a link from down south to up north made the movement of goods and services difficult.
This also affected the supply of petroleum products to Abuja and its environs.
It has in turn led to reappearing queues in the FCT.
Motorists and commuters now have to queue for hours before they can get fuel to buy.
The Nigeria Midstream and Downstream petroleum regulatory authority, NMDPRA apologised to FCT residents for the inconveniences this may be causing.
Executive Director, distribution system and storage, Ogbugo Ukoha, led a delegation round Abuja, alongside journalists, to inspect various fuel stations in the FCT to ascertain the situation of things.
Out of the Six fuel stations visited only one was selling.
All stations visited however had tankers laden with petroleum waiting to discharge and begin sales, while motorists waited patiently.
Mr. Ukoha spoke with several motorists, explaining the current situation, who in turn expressed their dissatisfaction with the situational fuel scarcity.
