Image result for Ondo: Civil Society Organisations meet INECThe Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ondo State, Segun Agbaje has warned politicians to stop casting aspersion on the integrity of the country’s election umpire, in order not to jeopardize Nigeria’s nascent democracy.

Agbaje spoke at a forum with Civil Society Organisations in Abuja, on the Commission’s preparedness for the forthcoming Ondo state governorship election.

TVC News Joke Adisa reports that it’s three weeks to the Governorship election in Ondo state, allegations
and counter allegations of bribery from the two leading political parties against the Commission have not ceased.

The country’s governing party, the All Progressives Congress and the ruling party in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party, have made various  accusations bordering on corruption against INEC’s hierarchy.

But the man at the centre of it all says he remains unshaken in the midst of all accusations, insisting he is incorruptible.

To demonstrate his aversion to corruption, Agbaje said he rejected a five hundred million naira offer by the PDP to upturn the last Osun state governorship election

INEC Chairman, here represented, reiterates the Commission’s support for Agbaje even as the hosting group cautions politicians against casting aspersions on the image of the Independent National Electoral Commission.

With its level of preparations put at eighty per cent, the Commission says it is ready to conduct the gubernatorial election in the state but appeals to all principal actors to play by the rules.

Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? With thanks
