The 11th Wole Soyinka Centre lecture series is ongoing at the Muson Centre in Lagos to celebrate the 85th birthday of Africa’s first Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka .
The theme for this year ‘s lecture series is “Rethinking credible elections, accountable democracy and good governance in Nigeria” .
The keynote speaker, Former Minister of education, Oby Ezekwesili says Nigeria needs to take stock of just concluded general election, identifying the flaws and the way forward.
She said there must be a rethinking of how Nigeria goes about its Electoral process, by using key indices which are inclusiveness, accountability, transparency and competitiveness.
