The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria has commenced an indefinite nationwide strike following the expiration of the 14 day ultimatum issued to the government.
The union accused international oil companies of not treating dockworkers fairly as workers are owed at least 12 months salary.
TVC can confirm that the seaports have been shut down and members of the union have complied with the union’s directives.
