Swedish prosecutors released a statement confirming that the 7-year legal stand-off against the Wikileaks founder, Assange is now over.
The 45-year-old has lived in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London since 2012, after taking refuge there to avoid extradition to Sweden over the allegation of rape, which he has consistently denied.
But his ordeal might not be over yet, if the London Metropolitan Police have their way.
According to the London Met, Assange will still be arrested if he as much as steps out of the embassy.
