The Ogun State Police Command and the Police Community Relations Committee have launched a Police Information Box to encourage people in the state to be actively involved in matters concerning Security.

The Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama launched the box during a sensitisation programme held at Sango area Command.

TVC News Kazeem Olowe reports that information remains a vital tool in security business and for any security agency to be successful, it must have a strong way of gathering information from the people.

Aside from the existing channels of passing information across to the Police in the State, the Police Community Relations Committee in Ogun State
decided to partner the command in strengthening Community Policing through the launch of the Police Information Box.

The Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama said the Police is always ready to serve the people and will surely serve them better when they get quality
information from them.

The Police Community Relations Committee also assured the Inspector General of Police that the body will continue to work towards building sustainable security network in the country.
