The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry has called for the concessionary tax rate for the Small and Medium Enterprise sector of the economy.
The Chamber at its council meeting notes that small businesses are more vulnerable to the current challenges in the economy and suffered high mortality rate as a result.
In the communique signed by its Director-General, Muda Yusuf, the chamber expressed concerns about the persistent delays in the issuance of the Pre-Arrival Assessment Report to importers by the Nigeria Customs Service.
The communique adds that the situation contributed to increase cost for many businesses.
