The Federal Government has said it has spent more than five billion Naira on the humanitarian response project in Borno state. A large quota of the fund was used to procure medicines and health related supplies in the first phase of the project and pay the remunerations of three hundred and fifty ad-hoc staff .

It is response to situations like that of Mary’s, that the federal government declared a state of emergency on health and Nutrition in Borno
State, launching the health and nutrition emergency project.
The project is aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality through a coordinated health system which provides health and nutrition services.
This dialogue session seeks to appraise and harness resources available for response to humanitarian crises in the country.
The government says it will continue to ensure that those affected by the insurgency, are adequately responded to.
As the project continues, members of the affected States want partners of the project to devise creative mechanisms of ensuring its sustainability going forward.
