The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has promised to take Nigeria to the next Level and build upon the achievements of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Asiwaju Tinubu who was speaking at the official Launch of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council’s Women Wing in Abuja said if elected President it will be a period of continous growth and development for Nigeria.

He added that when the Buhari administration came to power, it was a period of hopelessness, a period where many States could not afford to pay salaries of their workers and so many challenges that he promised to defeat and move Nigeria forward.

He disclosed that the president promised to end hopelessness and has done so much more that it is so easy to forget how challenging the situation was.

Going down memory lane, he said commuting to do business between some important parts of the Country and the continuation of Commerce between Nigerians.

He added that major infrastructure projects and roads like the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Abuja-Kaduna Highway, the Runway project of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and Others were left unattended to.

The attendant neglect according to him made movement on these roads and usage of such facilities harrowing experiences for Nigerians.

Seven years on, the former Lagos State Governor, said attention has been given to these roads and facilities making it easier and better for Nigerians to go about their daily activities and involvement in commerce for National Development.

For his part the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, said the party will continue to be one that gives Women and Youth their place of pride within its structures and government at all levels.

Speaking earlier, the Director General of the campaign, Governor Simon Lalong, said the launch and official inauguration of the campaign’s Women wing, is a welcome development.

For her part, the Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, while flagging off the campaign said the party is hopeful of a successful campaign having done this twice before.

She however called for more slots for for Women both in elective and appointive positions across all positions.

She also used the platform to officially introduce the Wives of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Nana Kahsim Shettima.
