Nominees into the management and board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) have assured senators of their readiness, when confirmed, to ensure accessibility of cheap data and wider broadband network in the country .
The nominees made these assurances at the screening session carried out by the Senate Committee on Communications where they answered relevant questions on ways to improve the NCC.
The Senate Committee commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his efforts aimed at injecting fresh ideas into the regulation of the telecommunications sector in Nigeria.
The nominees now await the Senate’s consideration of the committee’s report and subsequent confirmation.
