Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has met with the President of the African Islamic Union and the General Guide of Ansarudeen Association, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Niase, and asked the prominent Islamic leader to pray for a peaceful conduct of the 2023 elections in Nigeria.
This was at the International Maulud Celebration in Senegal where Senator Kashim Shettima represented Asiwaju Tinubu.
The event had Muslim faithful from across the world converging on Kaolack in Senegal for the commemoration of the birthday of the holy Prophet Muhammad,SAW.
The dominant message at the event by clerics here is an appeal to Muslim faithful to adhere to the teachings of Islam, have faith in Allah, live a life of love and care, peaceful coexistence, tolerance and uphold other islamic values.
Sheik Ibrahim Niase the Chief host was happy to receive Senator Kashim Shettima at the annual Maulud event in Kaolack.
He also prayed for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Wile the event lasted, There was a downpour, which was considered by attendees as showers of blessings and a signal of answered prayers at the event.
Senator Kashim Shettima thereafter moved to the residence of Sheikh Ibrahim Niase to formally deliver the goodwill message from the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who he represented.
He also sought the prayers of the General Caliph of El-Faidha Tijjaniyya Worldwide for peace, progress and an end to insurgency in Nigeria.
The Islamic Cleric prayed for a peaceful 2023 Elections in Nigeria as well as wished Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu well as he pursues his political aspiration to be elected as the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
