Ifo crisis: Governor-Elect, Dapo Abiodun visits families of victims

Ogun State Governor-Elect, Dapo Abiodun has called on residents of the state to embrace the spirit of tolerance and shun politics of hatred, cultism and any act capable of disrupting the peace of the state.


He made this known in Ifo town, where he paid a condolence visit to the families of the victims.

Accompanied by his deputy and other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress in the state, the Governor-Elect described the situation an unfortunate and highly regrettable.

He urged Policemen to always carry out their duties in a professional way, without resulting to lost of lives.

While speaking about those who used the opportunity of the sad incident to destroyed properties in the community, the Governor-Elect said he would ensure that Justice prevailed on the matter.


Speaking about the number of arrest made so far, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Bashir Makama said twenty five suspects are already in Police Custody.

He urged those carrying illegal arms to submit it to the police.

The Governor-Elect also visited the palace of Olu of Ifo, Oba Samuel Atanda to commensurate with him about the death of some of his subjects.
