Image result for Senate condemns invasion of Judges' homesThe Nigerian Senate has condemned the invasion by security operatives of the homes of some judges alleged to have received bribes to distort their rulings.

In a resolution, the Senate also urged the Directorate of State Security Services (DSS) and all anti-corruption agencies to always comply with provisions of the law while prosecuting the anti-graft war.

TVC News Sumner Sambo reports that the Senate had earlier held an executive session to discuss last weekend’s
sting operation by the DSS in which the homes of some judges were raided and arrests made.

Later on, a motion was moved by Senator Joshua Lidani, PDP (Gombe, South) who observed that the law was not properly adhered to by security operatives but did not specifically mention the laws broken.

He also sought for the Director General of the DSS to be summoned.

The Senate in a resolution said it is not against the anti-corruption fight of the current administration but demanded that the rule of law be strictly obeyed.

And after deliberation some prayers were adopted with the Senate rejecting the summon of the DG of the DSS, Lawal Daura.
