Enugu Rangers midfielder Ifeanyi Egwim says he will fight on and be back stronger after undergoing a second successful surgery at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu.
Egwim suffered a fractured tibia and fibula eight minutes after coming on as an 83rd minute substitute in Rangers’ 4-0 thumping of El Kanemi Warriors on Sunday.
That win sealed the title for the Flying Antelopes afer a 32-year wait.
But amid fears he might be unable to play again after the injury, Egwim remains positive.
He will have a second surgery on Thursday.
Governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has promised that the player will be flown abroad if need be for further treatment.
