The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, will hold a supplementary UTME for 67 applicants who enrolled but were unable to sit for the exam owing to unforeseen circumstances.

This is according to a statement published on Monday by JAMB’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Febian Benjamin, in Abuja.

Benjamin stated that the candidates’ exams would be held in specially specified centres on September 24.

He claimed that after the 2022 UTME, the board evaluated the entire procedure and offered mop-up exams to applicants who had biometric issues.

The board, according to him, also declared that since the administration of a mop-up examination was a temporary solution, it would not be permitted to be a fixture on its calendar.

He added that any candidate presenting any challenges, would have to indicate such peculiarities at the point of registration for them to be given special consideration.

“The decision to consider the candidates is to ensure that no single innocent candidate is punished unjustly.

“These 67 candidates are, therefore, urged to print their supplementary examination notification slips from Monday, to know the centres where they would be sitting for the examination,” he said.
