Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has dismissed claims by Niger’s military junta that some Nigerians are working against the peace and stability of Niger Republic.
Speaking at a citizen engagement program in Jigawa State, the minister reassured Nigerians that the military remains committed to eliminating all threats to national security.
According to him, Nigeria and Niger Republic share strong brotherly ties, and no Nigerian is working against the peace of either country.
Badaru Abubakar also highlighted improvements in Nigeria’s security situation under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
He emphasized that the armed forces have been equipped with all necessary resources to tackle security challenges effectively.
