Governor, of Cross River State, Bassey Otu, has extended his condolences to Kwara State Governor, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq over the passing of his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdukadir Mahe.
Governor Otu described the loss as irreparable and prayed for God’s consolation and fortitude for the Governor, the deceased’s family, and the people of Kwara State.
Governor Otu’s message was conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, who noted that Governor AbdulRasaq was in Calabar, attending the 2024 Carnival Calabar, when the incident occurred. Governor Otu’s condolences were offered on behalf of the government and people of Cross River State.
This gesture is characteristic of Governor Otu’s empathetic leadership style, as seen in his previous condolence visits, such as the one to the family of late Senator Joseph Wayas.
